About Company

Oriental Hotels (OHL) was incorporated with the objective to establish and run world class hotels. Taj Coromandel was the first hospitality project of OHL. The hotel named as ‘Taj Coromandel’ opened in the year 1974 as a five-star luxury hotel in Chennai. The hospitality business of OHL was established under the technical and operational support of Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), the hospitality wing of the Tata Group. IHCL owns and operates hotels under ‘Taj’ brand in India and abroad. OHL’s hotels are marketed as part of the Taj Group of Hotels.
